David Adamson

Biography

David’s career began in the Royal Engineers, working in many countries until 1986. He was then Director of Estates at the Universities of Bristol and Cambridge until 2005. A visiting professor at UCL and UWE, he was co-founder of the Higher Education Design Quality Forum. David was deputy chair of the Construction Clients Forum and a member of the Construction Industry Board set up by government after the 1994 Latham Review to implement reforms of the industry. A board member of CITB, from 2005-7 he was seconded to the Treasury, tasked with improving construction procurement nationally. Since 2007 he has been a consultant and lecturer in the UK, USA and in other European countries. He was made an Hon FRIBA in 2008. dma23@cam.ac.uk
