Ben Heath MA(Hons), Dip Arch, ARB, RIBA
Ben has 25 years of professional experience and has been responsible for the delivery of a series of award-winning UK and international projects such as the redesign of Wimbledon No1 Court on behalf of the All England Club (AELTC) and Bijlmer Station in Amsterdam.
He has worked across multiple sectors but with a focus on Education, with extensive experience designing facilities for academic institutions. He was involved with two projects for UCL – the New Engineering building, and the Cancer Institute’s new research building, also delivering buildings for Surrey and South Bank Universities. Most recently he was responsible for leading the Bath Spa Universities Schools of Art and Design project, involving the adaptation of the Grade II listed Herman Miller Factory built in 1976.
Ben heads up Grimshaw’s Global Education Group collaborating on international projects, such as the Technology Education Building for Monash University the first Passive House standard higher education building in the Southern hemisphere, along with the production of R&D papers pulling together our collective global experience. He is also in charge of Grimshaw’s design technology department, using this understanding to support project innovation and research.
