Director of Architects Collaborative

Biography

Ann Griffin is a chartered architect, RIBA Client Adviser and Community Led Homes Adviser, with over 25 years experience. The focus of all her work is a holistic approach to developing sustainable communities, embedding social, economic and environmental benefits.

Ann founded Architects Collaborative in 2016, a consultancy which provides independent, strategic advice to public sector clients and community groups. She combines her expertise in design and delivery of complex projects, with her critical thinking and communication skills.  Ann developed her expertise in social infrastructure projects, urban design and masterplanning at Meadowcroft Griffin, the practice she founded in 2003. She joined Maccreanor Lavington in 2013, to set up and lead a new social infrastructure team, to diversify the practice beyond their housing work.

Her many award winning projects include: Lauriston School, Hackney; Kingsgate School and Liddell Road Mixed Use Development, Camden; Charles Dickens and Grange Schools in Southwark. Southwark.

Her strategic approach helps clients explore their, often disparate, aspirations and shape them into a single unifying vision. She has developed clear frameworks to navigate this process, establishing: strategies to deliver the vision; successful methodologies for objective decision-making; and identifying solutions that meet design objectives, whilst maintaining programme and budget.

Ann has a great track record of delivering projects that are innovative yet pragmatic; enhancing the lives of their communities; and successful over their whole lifetime.
